The All Star Block Party link up that I co-hosted with several other bloggers ended a few weeks ago. I hated that because I enjoyed it so much. But, we each had family issues that loomed large and couldn't dedicate the time needed to host the party any longer. I appreciate all of your understanding comments and well wishes.
The monthly Google+ Blog Hop that's been such joy for me had to end too. It was scheduled to take place on the first Saturday of every month. Yep, you guessed it, it was supposed to be this past Saturday, March 1st.
I started hosting the g+ hop back in August 2012 at a time when there was very little blogger interest in the new social media site. Most of you probably thought I was crazy but I saw so much potential. I wanted to share it. Now there are numerous opportunities for blogger's to link up their g+ accounts at social media hops and link ups. I LOVE that! Please keep linking up to them! Google+ will only get BETTER. Starting my g+ crusade last summer was the best thing I have done on this blog (my opinion). I've met SO many wonderful people through it.
I started co-hosting the hop with one of them....Jenny of The NY Melrose Family. She is absolutely awesome at all things Google+. In fact, I strongly encourage all of you to seek her out if you need information about how to grow your blog through g+. She will have your answers. Want to see how? Read her March 1st blog post, Conquering Google+. I have asked Jenny to continue our efforts of hosting the g+ blog hop so please keep up with her blog posts and follow her on g+ HERE for more information.
Me? I'll still be doing what I love....crafting, lurking around my social media sites (I'm addicted to them!) and hopping around YOUR blogs and link parties. I love seeing your projects and recipes. I'll still be here...just not as often. If I want to show you something I made, it will be here. This blog is my happy place, my hobby. There won't be any advertising or promotion for it. Follow me via GFC, email or social media? Sure, I'd love to talk to you. But I don't care about "the numbers". I never have, really. I may (or may not) link up my projects at your parties or join your blog hops. If I'm not there as "InTheOldRoad", you may see me as @Shasta2889 or @linkyhere.
I WILL be at my favorite website ever....LinkyHere.com, a link party directory. There, I can help YOU promote your blogs, link parties and giveaways. That's what I truly love. So, keep blogging, crafting, cooking, designing, etc. I want to see everything!
Thank you to everyone that has stayed around to read what I have to say. I really appreciate it! Now, I'm off to check out everyone's new Spring projects and recipes. I need some inspiration and (I've heard) the Spring link ups will be awesome this week!

I just want to say thanks for all your support along the way! I hope your break leaves you refreshed and with more time to do the things you enjoy! I'll look forward to updates when you have time. :)
ReplyDeleteAwww, you know I'm still around. Whether you're posting once a day or once a month. :o)
ReplyDeleteHi Shasta! I've missed you lately! Sorry things have worked out the way they have, but knowing you, you'll be back! I know life is busy for you, and I do hope all things are well for you and your family! Good to hear from you again! Blessings from Bama!
ReplyDeleteI prefer going to blogs that don't care about the numbers. I will enjoy seeing you when you have the time. Everything okay with your son? Take Care!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're not disappearing entirely! I always love to see your smiling profile picture Shasta :)
ReplyDeleteSorry you won't be around as much but glad you're not leaving altogether!!
