I was unable to post features from our Aug. 21st All Star Block Party because of an unwelcome visitor to my home this past week....Hurricane Isaac. He came by on Tuesday afternoon and overstayed his welcome. My family and I were blessed with no major damages, only a few days of inconvenience. It's times like those that you come to appreciate the simple things in life....electricity (i.e. air conditioning and refrigeration).
I finally have my main luxury back...the internet! And I finally can share some of my favorite projects from our (8/21) party with you.
Anne from Design Dreams by Anne shared this remodeled tall boy chest of drawers with us. After painting it, she mod podged scrapbook paper on the front of the drawers. So unique and beautiful...good job, Anne!
I also loved this address sign created from an old window. What a great way to repurpose something! Go to Old World Garden Farms to see how they did it.
A Walk in the Countryside shared this coffee station with us. I'm in love with the cute little cow creamer!
Adrianne at Happy Hour Projects shared this simple but entertaining way to make a homemade starry night. I will definitely be doing this for my youngest son. He will love it! Thanks, Adrianne :)
Thanks to everyone that shared their projects and recipes with us. If you were featured today, please take one of our feature buttons to display on your blog.

I will be back tomorrow to show you how I entertained myself during the long days of Isaac's visit. Here is your hint: it involved a cardboard box. I bet you can't wait, haha!

So happy that you and your family are safe! Nettie
ReplyDeleteThat flashlight is a brilliant idea!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for featuring my coffee station! I'm glad you made it though the storm okay! We only had minor damage and like you we were out of electricity for a few days. Now we're playing catch up trying to clean up the yard and home! Blessings, Tammy
ReplyDeleteThank you for the feature Shasta! Have a fabulous week!!
