Pin-tabulous Tuesday #6 - Paint Chips

I love color.  All colors.  Of course I have my favorites (like pink) but I have always liked the basic colors of the UV spectrum and the thousands of variations in hue and saturation.

My fascination with color led to a love of paint chips.  You know, the little cards of color in the paint section of hardware stores.   They are samples of the colors of paint that are available to buy....by the ounce, quart or gallon.  When I'm trying to decide on a paint color for my next project, I grab a bunch of paint chip samples to bring home.  It helps to see if the color is what I  wanted in different light and with different objects.  But, what do you do with the paint chip samples when you're done with them?  Please don't say "throw them away"...I may faint.

Turn to Pinterest for lots of inspiration and creative ideas for those leftover paint chip samples.  Here are a several ideas that I have pinned to my "paint chips" board on Pinterest.

IMPORTANT:  Please do NOT pin an image from this blog post.  The pins (photos) shown on this blog post are NOT my property and should NOT be referenced back to my blog in any way.  Please refer to the original source if you would like to pin an image.

Remember last week when I was struggling with a way to add a number 4 to my patriotic shelf vignette?  No?  OK, I'll prove it to you....here.

Silly me, why didn't I just think of paint chips.

I just glued some to a box and stuck a cardboard #4 to it...easy and FREE!

Grab some paint chip inspiration and create something beautiful today :)
