What's Your Favorite Room?....Features

About a week ago, I hosted a "favorite room" linky party that featured beautiful indoor and outdoor rooms.  I asked readers to link up a favorite room or newly remodeled room in their homes and was delighted to see so many beautiful spaces.

Here are some of the most viewed links (in no particular order).

Heather, from New House, New Home, New Life, submitted this pretty guest bathroom remodel she recently completed in her home.

Do you see that gorgeous wall?  No, it's not wallpaper. She handpainted that pattern on the wall using a template.  You heard me, handpainted!   I bet that took forever.  And, by the way, the background color is BM's Wythe Blue....one of my favorite colors.  The entire bath is just lovely.  So elegant.  You can see all the details here.

Another favorite was Meredith and Gwyneth's NYC studio apartment.  How do you make a home out of 470 square feet?  Just click here to take a tour of what I think has got to be the cutest apartment in NYC.  With the use of different colors, textures and little DIY know how, they have put together one of the most comfortable and efficient homes I've ever seen.   I was hooked on this place as soon as I saw the pink door.

And, finally, one of the most viewed rooms is one of my personal favorites.  The beautiful "outdoor room" created by Mindy of Rindy Mae.  I found Mindy's blog about a year ago and instantly fell in love with her backyard garden.  Take a tour of the garden, here, to see an amazing collection of yard art that I'm insanely jealous of.  Then, have a seat in the outdoor living room, put your feet up, relax and watch the children play.  Jealous, I tell ya.

I want to thank everyone that linked up a room to my linky party.  The creativity and inspiration was astounding.  If you want to see all of the links, you can view them here.  Enjoy.

  1. Hi Shasta - thank you for featuring my bathroom - it quickly became a labour of love as it was so time consuming. But it was worth it in the end as I love the finished product.

  2. I can't believe mine was one of the most viewed. That's insane and awesome. Thanks for such a fun party and for featuring me! You know the garden is my favorite place in the world to be - to have other people want to have a look is pretty darned cool. :)
