Except mine's going to be a little different. I thought it would be fun to add a little quirkiness to it....a little "get-to-know-you-better" fun. That's why I call this linky party/blog hop the "What is Your Favorite Aisle?" linky party.
This is how it will work:
1. Take a picture of your favorite aisle in any store.
2. Use the picture of the aisle to link up to the linky party on my blog. Write the name of the aisle in the "name" slot. For the url listing, you can link to your favorite aisle post (describing why you like this aisle) or your blog's home page. A post would obviously be better because it would give readers more information about you. (Sort of like the "11 things" tag game that has been going around blogland).
Remember, this is a "get-to-know-you" blog hop/linky party. The aisle picture is there to "get-to-know-you" better and the link to your blog is there to introduce your blog to others.
I'm going to link up my favorite aisle first. It's a picture of the school/office supplies aisle in our local dollar store. I chose it because I love school supplies. Always have and still do. Picking out school supplies was one of my favorite things about school. And yes, I had a Trapper Keeper. Best thing ever.
As much as I like school supplies, my son hates them. I always wanted him to go to the store with me to get his school supplies every year and he always said no. He tormented me by just stuffing his papers in his book bag...no folder, no organization at all. Pens and crayons/markers just haphazardly tossed in any pocket. He is a junior in high school now and I try not to even look in his book bag. I might pass out.
OK, now you know a little more about me. What do you like? This linky will be open for a week so you still have time to go get that picture. And remember, this is all about having FUN!
There are NO RULES to this linky party! I will ask, however, that you keep it family friendly :)

Great idea! I'll try to remember so I can link up next week!
ReplyDeleteDarn--I was at Walmart tonight and forgot about this. Oh well, I'll probably be there tomorrow too!
ReplyDeleteI have linked up an older post from my Christmas blog about my favorite shopping aisle. I will try and take a more recent picture as soon as I can!
ReplyDeleteThanks for having me!
Best wishes

PS I just tweeted about your party too!

Oh yes, I remember buying those trapper keepers. The aisle I shared is only my favorite once a month. Just happened to be that time that I needed a new haircolor last Friday. So that's what I decided to share. What a fun get to know you better party!

p.s. Hubby came home and saved the day, my HERO! lol!

I'm so sorry I didn't get a photo of my favorite aisle - the perennial flowers in a garden centre. Or the chocolate aisle. I promise next time.
