Well at least it seems to have where I live. I went out several days ago to get my yard ready for spring….raking leaves, pruning trees and bushes and pulling weeds. Our winters are so mild where I live (South Mississippi) that only some of the weeds from summer die during “winter”. The rest of them hang around to torment me.
This is what I saw in my backyard.

And the vine (yellow jasmine) over my garden arch has been blooming almost all "winter".
See all that dead vine on the underside? I want to trim that off but I think there is a bird's nest in it. Awwww....
This has been a weird winter. It almost makes me worry that we'll have a weird summer. Of course, that's probably the hurricane-worrier in me.
Is anyone else having a strange winter?
Got anything blooming?
Pollen covering your car yet?
Or, as the hubs calls it, "bloom dust", haha.

Wow, that's early. Nothing blooming here yet.

Hi Shasta! We've got daffodils and some shrubs blooming down the road, but my daffodils are just now bursting through the ground. I love all the trees and vines in your yard! I know, it's way too early for these things to bloom! I'm concerned we'll have a freeze and ruin everything! That has happened in recent years here, and I believe the peaches were ruined because of it. That arch is really pretty with the jasmine growing on it. I have a Lady Banks rose that was planted on mine this fall. I hope it blooms this year! Blessings from Bama!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love those blooms.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind comment on my blog.
Have a great week :)
Sanghamitra.
Love the beautiful flowers. My OW is up too.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see a few blooms. Although we've had a very warm winter (for Nebraska), I'm afraid it'll be many weeks before we see blossoms of anything other than crocus.
