I like both teams so I decided to choose my "favorite" based on food. Because, why not? Each choice's recipe can be found at SouthernLiving.com (click the link below each picture).
Louisiana (LSU) offers these delicious "Mini Muffulettas", a savory deli meat sandwich with a tangy olive mixture dressing. Served with lemonade or sweet tea, they are amazingly good!

But, Alabama offers the "Million Dollar Bama Sandwich". OMG, when I read this recipe, my mouth started watering. Pulled pork, barbeque sauce, cole slaw, dill pickles.....

I can just taste it. I think I want a beer with this one.
I'm a big "barbequed pork" fan so this one might be the one. But I love mufflettas too. Maybe I'll get my personal chef (ha!) to make both of them today so I can do a BCS Taste Test.
Or, I'll just eat dessert first.

ReplyDeleteMy dh was rooting for his favorite (Roll Tide! Woot! Glad they won, although LSU gave Kansas City Dwayne Bowe, so I love them too) and those mini muffulettos and lemonade would have definitely hit the spot! Might have to enjoy them with the Super Bowl instead. I found your site through Tina at Our House in the Maples. Glad that I did. : )..
