Map Letters.... Another Pinspiration

I've been drowning in Mod Podge for the past two days.  Today, I made some map letters for Christmas gifts.  I covered 8"x1" paper mache letters with maps that I found and printed from the internet.

Want a fast, thrifty Christmas gift idea?  These were super easy and super cheap.  If you don't want to spend much money, just use cardboard or foamboard to cut out the letters, print the maps and cover them with watered down Elmer's glue instead of buying the more expensive mod podge.

I chose the maps for each letter based on who I was giving it to.  The map is of a favorite city or hometown of the person who receives the gift.  Kind of puts a personal touch to it.

I was inspired by Pinterest....again.  I'm soooo hooked on that site!  I love these map projects:

I'm dying to make this one but I have to find a colorful map.  Don't you just love the colors of this 'map rose'?

And, of course, a map letter.  I like the colors in it too.

I also love the letters that I saw covered with scrapbook paper.

I made one like those yesterday and posted about it here.

I went on to do a little bit more to that M but it was super easy and cheap too.

What a relief it is to get all those projects done.  I'm in my usual "Christmas is getting close" panic.  I've still got a few more project/gifts to do and I haven't even thought about wrapping them yet.  Maybe throw them in a gift bag and mod podge it closed?  It could work.....
